Orthopaedic Shoe Modifications
We can carry out footwear modifications based on customer requirements, measurements or professional instructions where provided. We are an independent shoe repair studio and do not provide medical advice or diagnose conditions.
Many people need their footwear adapted to accommodate specific requirements - whether due to leg length differences, foot conditions, post-surgical needs or comfort requirements. Our workshop has experience carrying out a wide range of footwear modifications to help people walk more comfortably and safely.
Where a physiotherapist, podiatrist, orthotist or other professional has prescribed specific modifications, we can work from those instructions. We also carry out modifications based on the customer's own requirements or measurements.

What orthopaedic modifications can you carry out?
We can raise heels, add rocker soles, widen toe boxes, add arch support insoles, apply internal padding, add external sole raises and carry out other modifications based on the customer's requirements or professional instructions.
Do I need a prescription or professional referral?
You do not always need a referral to request a modification. We can carry out adaptations based on your own requirements or measurements. Where a medical professional has given instructions, please bring them with you or send a photo on WhatsApp.
Can you modify any type of shoe?
We can modify most leather and firm-soled footwear. Some shoe constructions are more suitable than others. Please contact us with photos for an assessment.
Can I post my shoes to you for modification?
Yes. Send photos and details on WhatsApp, we agree the modification, and you post the shoes by Royal Mail.
Are you a medical provider?
No. We are an independent shoe repair and modification studio. We carry out footwear modifications based on customer requirements, measurements or professional instructions where provided. We do not diagnose medical conditions.
How long do modifications take?
This depends on the complexity of the work required. We will advise a timeline when we assess your footwear.
