Which photographs help us assess a repair?
- The whole item: show the overall shape, both shoes if it is a pair, and any relevant labels.
- The damaged area: take a sharp close view in daylight, without filters. Include the surrounding seam, lining or attachment.
- The other side: show the inside, underside or sole where it helps explain access and construction.
Mention previous repairs, products already used, original details you want to keep and any date you need the item for. The studio confirms feasible work and timing after assessment.
For locks and keys, avoid photographs revealing an address or security details. Bring the original key for an appropriate assessment.
