You do not have to live nearby to keep a favourite piece in use. Send your shoes, bags or leather goods to The Cobbler's Studio by YouGee from anywhere in the UK. We will assess the item, talk through the options and agree the work and price with you before starting.
From your doorstep to our bench.
1. Show us what needs attention
Photograph the whole item and the damaged area. Tell us how you use it, what you want to preserve and whether there have been earlier repairs. Questions are welcome, including when you are unsure what the repair is called.
2. Agree the arrangements before posting
Contact the studio to confirm whether we can assess your item by post. Discuss packing, postage and return costs, including what happens if you decide against the repair. For bulky or unusual items, agree the practical details first.
3. Pack it with your details
Pack the item securely. Include your name, telephone number, email, return address and a short description of the problem. Add your enquiry reference if the studio has issued one. Send footwear as a pair so we can compare wear and height. Keep your parcel tracking details.
4. Choose the right approach together
Once we can examine the item, we will explain the proposed repair, any visible changes, the price and timing. Photographs help the first conversation; the final proposal may change after an in-person inspection.
5. Approve the work and agree its return
Work begins after you approve the scope and price. The studio agrees collection or return arrangements with you. A repair order number and a carrier tracking number serve different purposes; contact us if you are unsure which update you need.

A worn heel, a favourite bag with a broken handle, a leather jacket with an opening seam, or something that does not fit a familiar category: we welcome the conversation. We take time to understand the piece and recommend an approach that suits its construction, your priorities and continued use. Complex work is assessed individually.
