Request deletion of your personal data
Last updated: 19 September 2026
You can ask The Cobbler’s Studio to delete personal information we hold about you.
How to request deletion
Email: info@thecobblersstudio.com
Subject: Data Deletion Request
Please include enough information for us to identify your records, for example:
- your name;
- telephone number or email address used with us;
- your Order number, if available.
Please do not send passwords, payment-card details or unnecessary identity documents.
We may ask for additional information if reasonably necessary to verify your identity before acting on the request.
What happens next
We will review your request and respond without undue delay and within one calendar month, as required by UK data-protection law. Complex requests may sometimes take longer where the law permits, in which case we will tell you.
Where the right to erasure applies, we will delete or anonymise the relevant personal information and, where required, take appropriate steps regarding recipients with whom that information has been shared.
Information we may need to keep
The right to deletion is not absolute.
We may need to retain some information where required or permitted by law, including information necessary for:
- accounting and tax obligations;
- legal or regulatory requirements;
- fraud and security prevention;
- an ongoing complaint or dispute; or
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims.
If we cannot delete some information, we will explain why. UK GDPR expressly recognises exceptions to erasure, including compliance with legal obligations and legal claims.
WhatsApp notifications
If you only want to stop WhatsApp repair updates, you do not need to delete your customer or Order records.
Email info@thecobblersstudio.com or tell a member of staff that you want WhatsApp notifications stopped.
If you are unhappy with our response
You can make a data-protection complaint to us: info@thecobblersstudio.com
We have a legal duty to provide a complaints process, acknowledge data-protection complaints within 30 days, investigate them appropriately and communicate the outcome without undue delay.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): https://ico.org.uk/
