Trainers and sneakers are built very differently from a traditional welted shoe - most use a cemented or vulcanised sole bonded directly to the upper, with no welt to unpick, so 'resoling' here usually means fitting a new sole unit or a protective sole guard rather than a classic leather resole. We regularly handle sole and midsole repair, deep cleaning, suede and canvas restoration, and recolouring or crease reduction on leather and premium sneakers, treating the upper material - smooth leather, suede, canvas or synthetic knit - as the deciding factor in how we clean and repair each pair, since what's safe on a canvas trainer can ruin a suede one and vice versa.

Leather Sneakers

Trainers / Sneakers

Leather sneakers use smooth or grained leather uppers, which behave much like a leather shoe upper - they take conditioning, light recolouring and crease reduction well, and scuffs can usually be touched in rather than left. Most are cemented rather than welted construction, so once the sole is worn through we fit an equivalent replacement sole unit rather than attempting a traditional stitched resole.
