Suede

Leather Materials

Suede is leather split and finished from the underside of the hide to give a napped, non-glossy texture, which makes it more absorbent and more easily marked by liquids and oils than top-grain leather. Suede needs brushing to lift the nap and specific suede cleaners rather than the wipe-clean approach that works on finished leather, and water marks in particular need professional treatment rather than home drying.
